PKMN-TWD: Aapep

    Aapep had been on his way home from school when he spotted the first zombie. He was curious about the unknown being, wondering why they had been shambling and moaning as they were. He was about to work his way over when he watched the zombie attack and start eating a passing Hypno. Startled by what he’d witnessed, Aapep had turned tail and worked his way into a hollowed tree where he hid.

He waited there until it had calmed down and the other beings had dispersed, slowly crawling out and keeping a cautious eye on his surroundings. He made his way to his house, traveling slower than normal and in the shadows so as not to attract unwanted attention. Once he’d arrived, Aapep had opened the front door and surveyed the house, taking note with growing dread that no one was there. Every room he checked had things missing, ranging from clothes to photo albums. Panic overtaking him, the serpent quickly went into the garage, seeing the car was gone. His panic was overtaken by anger and grief, coming to the conclusion his family had packed up and left without waiting or searching for him.

He spent the months leading up to this point on his own, darting in and out of where he could, scavenging for supplies. He’d caught wind of two groups having formed within the city, one wanting to help and the other a gang. He’d briefly considered joining one, but had shut that train of thought down, deciding he’d be better off on his own. He refused to acknowledge the fact he didn’t quite trust others enough yet to rely on their help.
